American Skills for Internationals Meetup Nov 12

Sunday, 12 Nov 2017

6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Clarke’s Diner, 6431 N. Sheridan Road in Rogers Park, Chicago

Conversation & American lifestyle

Why are Americans so fat? Why do we use so much fuel? Why do we think we have the right to as much as we can consume? Let’s talk and I’ll give you a pretty good theory about why we’re like this.

I’m an American culture coach who helps internationals succeed in the U.S. Besides discussing some aspect of life in the U.S. we’ll just relax and make friends.

We meet at a neighborhood diner, but you don’t have to have a whole meal.

Christmas Feast and Party 2017

Monday 25 December 2017

2:00 to 9:00 p.m.

In Rogers Park, Chicago

You’re invited to my place on Christmas Day! I’ll make a big pot of food, you’ll bring other food and drink, and we’ll celebrate while we make new friends with Americans, expats, and one dog (who’s in the bottom right corner of this photo).

1. Food or beverages to share. I will help you decide what to bring.

2. A wrapped Christmas gift that cost you no more than $20. We will play a gift-giving game to make sure everyone goes home with a Christmas present! It can be anything that would be good for a man or woman (edible treats, tech gadget, gift card, etc). Be sure to WRAP your gift.
